What would you do?
I'm currently rebuilding(so to speak) my 350 and don't expect to get really high hp numbers just something more than the stock 195. So i've got a 69 350 truck motor, which i'm re-ringing and putting new bearings in.
It has a set of 76cc comb. cmbr, 150cc int. ports. Nothing special at all but it has 2.02 1.60 valves.
I've done the comp. ratio and it is about 8.75.
I've already got a weiand x-celerator int. 1.6 crane roller tip rockers, it will be getting a set of hedmann long tubes with true duals. And a stock convertor.I will also be porting the bowls on the heads.
What cam and lifter kit could i put in this thing that will bring some more hp and not kill my torque.
The transmission and gears are shown on the specs listing on the left.
Could i get at least 260 hp with the stock parts, i don't need real horsepower because some time down the road it will be stroked to 383 and very possible forced inducted.

Not that anyone would care, but if those heads were mine, I'd either save them for a domed piston installation or use them as wheel chocks. 76cc chambers are not really flat-top friendly - Unless you're going to run propane instead of gasoline.

I do have another set of heads and if it were deemed neccesary i will splurge and purchase a better set of heads.

Well, i can tell ya that you are at a good compression ration for FI. If you aren't going to do that soon, than i'd personally think about some better heads to bring up your compression.

But until then it is going to run like a terd with that compression. Try to pick up some better heads. Vortecs would be a good choice for you.
