power steering pump

power steering pump

i need to have my power steering pump replaced i can buy one at autozone for 50 bucks and i can have it put on for 100 bucks but the place putting it on said they could order a pump for me if i didnt have one and it would cost the same amount 100 bucks to put it on but the pump would be 418 bucks why such a price difference than auto zone? thanks

I think id go with the auto zone pump....
is the more expensive one a GM part from a GM dealer? Do both or eighter come with the resevoir too?

yeah the 418 dollar one is from a gm chevy car dealer .the one from auto zone comes with the resevoir plus i spend around aonther 18 for a new hose so 68 for parts and they will put it on for 118 so 184 not bad i can live with that.i just was scared a bit when he said the pump would be 418 thanks for the reply
