what type of bit/tool to use to smooth runners?

i have a guy that normally does all of my port work- but this set of heads is going to have sufficient (*sp?) flow as is. however- i am planning on smoothing the castings of the heads as well as my stealth ram intake. I have done this before on my crotch rocket heads and 4wheeler heads. i am not even going to try to port them- that's an art form in my opinion- just wanting to smooth things out a little. just curious as to what kind of bit to use as well as what tool. i would assume a dremel? that's what i used before.

Cartride rolls and an electric die grinder. I've burned up too many dremels to have any trust in them. It will probably work for you.

Don't smooth out the intake runners too much

i wasn't looking to polish it like a mirror- just take some of the rough edges off and smooth out the combustion chambers.

carbide rotory files (or burrs) made for aluminum and non ferrous metal with a die grinder to turn them, air tools are by far better to use than electric. keep the bit lubed up with wd-40 or similar to keep it from clogging.
