2 v8 questions
I have two quick questions regaurding the v8 engine as I'm use to v6's.
I am to go document/view a car for sale around me for a new board member, so I would like to check these things for them.
Car is said to be a 92 B4C car.
Where are the markings on the v8 block so I can attempt to verify it as the orginal block?
Since I have turnerprort and cables, what deffinition file would I need to use to datalog the ecm/engine data?
thanks

First, go to Mortec.com for all the block number info.
Not sure what a B4C is but everything in 92' with an 8 (except LT1) used a 7730 ECM and that would be the $8D mask. The ADS support files for TP are on Marks site.
Could double check for other possibilities here :

From https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/techdb.shtml 1991 info:
"B4C `Special Service' police package became available to law enforcement agencies only. Cars were RS coupes with Z28 5.0 TPI or 5.7 TPI drivetrains and Z28 suspensions. These cars came equipped with the 16 inch wheels and P245/50-ZR16 tires, engine oil cooler, rear disc brakes, and limited slip axle. Midyear, the 1LE 11.86 inch front brakes and HD calipers became optional for the B4C. This package was the only way to get air conditioning and the HD front brakes. There were 592 1991 B4C Camaros built."
From the 1992 section:
"HD calipers and 11.86 front brakes became standard on the B4C special service package. There were 589 1992 B4C Camaros built."
They were made available to the public through police auctions.
