i cant get brake cover back on!?!?! help

i cant get brake cover back on!?!?! help

i just finished putting the back shoe pads on, or at least 1 side and i cant get the brake cover back on. i got the new pads in and all the springs after 2 hours, and now theres not enough room for the brake cover. i tried adjusting the activator wheel, its all the way turned in and theres still not enough room,. does any one have any ideas!! im going crazy

1989 camaro 305 tbi

Adjusting the self-adjusting mechanism should give you more then enough room to get the drum back on. Make sure its all together correctly.

well does any one know a better guide to putting them back together i have a haynes, and its not very good, hard to tell what parts are what. ill take a picture tomorrow and maybe can notice something i did wrong, thx guys

I did mine with a Haynes manual and it was fine. Try just taking it all off and putting it on again and make sure it looks like the other side. (You are doing them one side at a time, right?)

yes i only did the right side, i will give it another go tomorrow, wish me luck ill keep you posted
