Window Motor help
Alright well my window motor is finaly on its last leg, and just wondering if you guys just replace it with the factory one, and if so whats the part number.

I think this is usually answered in the body interior section...
also there's an article on the main page of tgo, but here's a summary:
-usually it's the switch, check that first, it's easier to replace
-if it's not the switch, it's the carbon brushes, the motor itself never really "fails".
remove the door panel, and use some short pliers or a short screwdriver and bend the tangs out on the end cap, and remove the cap. Check the brushes (I swear they're copper and not carbon, but whatver). If they're worn, see if you can wrangle up new ones (good luck) or go to a u-pick autowreckers and snag some from the rear of a 4 door car. Something in good shape, like a caprice sedan or wagon or something.
