harmonic balancer
I am replacing m harmonic balancer today and my question is this. Do I have to change the timing cover seal? If so how hard is this.

Transmission: 700 R-4, with stage 2 shift kit
Axle/Gears: 3.23
When I've done this job in the past I haven't needed to replace the seal. However if seal is leaking or damaged then now is the perfect time to replace it.

Seems to be in good shape. Will be replacing the motor late summer. Balancer failed before I was ready. Thanks.
