true roller or roller tip rockers?

I really do not want to replace my valve covers and I want some roller rockers.

Which will work
A- the big bulky true roller rockers
B- the stock looking rockers with the roller at the tip

get ready to pay some bucks as you are gonna have to run the narrowed ones for the centerbolts, we've run the trick flows they are about 300 bucks nice parts, however how much revs are you pulling out of it, you really get VERY little to no gain at low rpm out of em is 5 horses really worth 300 bucks, now if you plan on buzzing it up around 5k plus thats where they are worth it, my .2

If you are set on doing it i would run the trick flow ones, we have run a lot of trick flow parts without issues, but as i said they are on a race car and take the beating of 8k+ rpm, on a street car i really dont see that kinda money for little power, i would say ust a stock style with the roller tip would give you a bit of improvement

I really do not want to go over 5500 but I had a bit of an issue at 7000+ and smoked the cam and lifters. I figured if I put all roller stuff in this time its like insurance just in case I hit it a little to hard.

I put a set of 1.6 roller tip rockers on my 85 z28 and they fit under the stock valve covers with no problem and they are a lot less money than full rollers. Also the 1.6 ratio makes the lift close to what the H.O. motor would have altough there is little change in duration, but I figure every bit helps.

If anything, the weak stock rockers helped to protect your car at 7 grand the other day. Stiff aftermarket replacements will no longer deflect at all under high load...which is good...unless you have incidents like going to 7 grand on a stock motor...then rocker arm deflection can only help you by relieving stress on cam/pushrods/lifters/valves/springs.
