MAF probs

I get the MAF code for low voltage...........sometimes. I put my computer on and the MAF is reading 1024.........sometimes. Other times it functions normally and measures the airflow properly, all the way from 1000 to
20,000 + grains per second. I thought I had a MAF going out so I got a new one from a buddy at a parts house. Installed it in the parking lot, started the car, and it read 1024 GPS constantly. I then reinstalled the old one and went home and traced the ground, thinking that was it. The ground seemed OK, but I cleaned it all anyways. For 3 days it ran GREAT! Today, I started it around 8 times throughout the day. 3 Times I got the MAF problem, 5 times the MAF ran correctly. What else could it be? 87 IROC, TPI 350, Auto, stock

I had a similiar MAF problem. Turned out to be one of the pins in the MAF pigtail would slip up inside the connector and not make good contact with the MAF pin. When I pulled the connector off to inspect, the pin would fall back down into place and look OK.
