Uh Oh... Engine's going to grenade...
Hehe, well i was having a bit too much fun since its finally decided to look like spring out there and well, I kind of ended up killing my motor
Now that theirs not enough snow out to drive my sled to work i need to get my car back up and running, im wayyy too out of shape to be riding my pedal bike to work all the time!!
Since ive slowly been building up my new motor i have decided just to slap it together with what i can get in town...
Some of you may already know the specs on the new block...
350 4bolt
-10cc dish slugs
XE268H-10 Cam
Double roller timing chain
Since the XE268 cam isnt going to be too friendly to my heads without some machine work im going to be pulling that and put it on the shelf for later use. I was thinking of just putting the edelbrock cheapo cam out of my grenaded motor in the new one, pending inspection for any damage to the cam (doubt it). I might be able to get my buddys XE262 cam from his current build, that should work with stock 416's, no?
Going to unbolt my 416 heads from the 305 inspect/clean them and just drop them on for now, definately dont have the time to port them right now!
Whats your guys's views on re-using the oil pickup/pump/shaft and head bolts? Theirs a few pumps in town but nobody has a shaft or a pickup so i figure why get a new pump, also no head bolts in town(wtf?)...
This setup should be good for about 150hp
