Possible Fuel Problem

Problem: Car stalls out after hard driving (80mph or above at a constant speed).

NO codes, fuel smell towards the end, car is no where overheating, all fluids are topped off, A/C is not on, 87 octane in tank,

Once she stall out on the highway, i restarted it and it only went to maybe 10mph until it stalled out again. Since I smelled gas a checked for a leak, no leak. The smell is deffinately coming from the rear. I thought maybe my AJFPR (adj fuel Pres reg) was on to high so I lowered it to 37, it was set at 47. after a little while 30min or so I started her back up and she was fine. i didn't run her as hard I stayed about the 70 mph speed limit. This same problem keeps happening don't know what to do?

Could it be fuel injectors, timming, ignition, or fuel pump? If so how would I know? How can I test them?

The car has a new fuel filter.

The car is an 87 IROCZ 5.7 L TPI with a few bolt ons

Thanks

Dan

Check for spark when it acts up.
