Power steering Pump Mods?
I would like to know if the OEM Power steering pump is good for Hi Horsepower applications? I heard that at Hi RPM the pump pressure becomes to much? The end result is hi-oil temps and premature hose failures? Would a remote resvoir work? has anybody done this to a power steering pump? Is it even needed?
any info would be greatly appreciated.

The pressure shouldn't be a problem, since the pump is in bypass through the steering box as long as there is no steering change input (differential valve in box). Pressure rise in this mode is minimal.
The flow may be higher at higher engine RPM, and an external oil cooler in the return line might help, but there should be no real trouble from occasional high RPM use. You could get a NASCAR style pump and belt drive it accordingly, but it might not give much assist at idle, when you really need it.
