I had the tall valve covers on my old firebird, they interfere with the A/C evaporator box on the passenger side. If you have A/C, they're not gonna fit. For this reason, I have the short ones on my GTA now... They still clear my Crane Energizer roller rockers...

I am running tall valve covers on my 89 GTA. No interference issues with anything including a/c.

* edit * - sorry, I missed the edelbrock part - mine are not edelbrock - my bad.

My tall covers were really close to my alternator power bolt. I had a short once and had to add some extra insulation. I also have sportsman II heads though. Not sure if that would make a diference.

I also agree with it coming close to the alternator bolt (so close I had to trim back the power stud). I'm not running Edelbrocks though. I'm running Compcam Polymer with AFR heads. So that might be the difference. At least with polymer no worries about it shorting on plastic.
