Finally took the car for a ride on its MAIDEN VOYAGE!!

Well, I got almost everything setup with the car minus small small stuff that isn't required to drive the car like swaybars, etc. Anyway, I get her running, let it warm up set the idle speed. I had my friend with me in case anything happened. Well we get in the car (NOTE: I weigh 285 lbs. and my friend weighs 320 lbs.) and proceed to pull out of the driveway. As the front of the car drops down, it caught the exhaust and ripped it right off of the headers! With all the weight of the passengers and the fact that I still have the factory V6 springs in there with probably bad shocks, I can see why that happened. So, we resecure the exhaust and go on our way. Needless to say, the engine has NO power but the exhaust is loud as hell. For some reason the engine didn't want to rev above 4000 RPM, not sure why. Anyway I drive about 2 miles down the road (had to make sure that all 5 gears worked ), and attempt to do a U turn to go back and the car dies. Won't start back up. So me and my friend had to push that heavy a$$ car 1.4 miles back to my house. Come to find out that the battery voltage dropped and the MSD quit firing. Now, I have a 140 amp 1 wire alternator. I bought a pigtail for it because it wasn't charging. I wired it up the way the guy from Painless told me to. So as of right now, I have 1 wire going from the alt. post to the battery +, 1 wire that goes from the pigtail to the battery junction block by the radiator(voltage sensing circuit), and 1 wire that isn't used. Supposedly, the wire that I didn't use is for a battery warning light. Well I don't have a battery warning light, so I never used the wire. After talking to some guys at work, they told me that it is probably the exciter wire for the alternator, and it needs to see the load from the light bulb to turn on and create the required 14.1V. So with the battery not being charged on my road test, and the fact the battery voltage was dropping could be part of the reason why it didn't want to go past 4,000 RPM. Just gotta start working the kinks out, I guess.
