Lost IAT plug

Transmission: Super T10 (currently dead)
Axle/Gears: 3.73 posi
Lost IAT plug

I realized one night when i was cruisin around, my car was running like rubbish, it was idling low and rough. i also realized that my throttle response was bad. when i glanced under the hood i realized my IAT was unplugged, and i couldn't find the plug/cord. could the unplugged IAT sensor be the culprit of my problems? and if it is, where would i find it, i hope it didnt find its way into my fan
