Usual combo question (moved from carb board)
I'm using my car for street use more than anything and I want to hear some opinions about my setup.
XE 268 I .509 1.6rr 268 dur 114 LSA
E .512 1.6rr 280 dur
670 holley street avenger 70/74 jets with an edelbrock air gap dual plane
GM performance fastburn heads 2.00/1.55 with hedman longtubes
I still have the stock converter (haven't gotten to it yet)
Should I stick with the carb or go larger? I did the basic calculation and with the dual plane offset, it comes out to about 750. That seems kind of big to me. Also should I stick with the dual plane or go single? I wanted the dual for better low end when I started swapping. Any other suggestions would be great.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
It would probably make a little more power with a bigger carb; maybe 10 HP; but for a mostly street car, I think what you've got is perfectly OK. Probably better driveability and gas mileage and all that, than the bigger carb. I don't think that what you'd gain by swapping, would be worth the $400 and what you'd give up.
IMO the combo you have now is overall reasonably well matched, except for the converter. I think there's ALOT more to be gained there, than by swapping carbs.
