Bigger MAF
JEGS High Performance - Granatelli Adjustable Mass Air Flow Sensors
I always see articles poppin about about gutting your MAF and porting them out or switchin to a stock wells unit because they are a tad bigger...and I thought the reason was because they didn't make an aftermarket one that was bigger, but then I stumbled upon this one. I'm not sure if you guys already knew about it, but I just found out about it myself...anybody use it, heard of anything about it? says it flows way more than a stock unit and is adjustable...
what do you guys think about it?

Before you get all excited and order a replacement, perform a search here for "Granatelli MAF" or "adjustable MAF" and see what others' experiences have been. As I recall, they were not impressed. Also remember that despite the flow capability of the MAF, the ECM can only measure flows and match fuel rates up to 255 g/S, regardless of the input. Beyond that, the fuel metering is all by the programmed PE tables.

Granatelli MAFs suck. Unless you NEED the extra air flow from a larger MAF, you won't gain anything and your just throwing money away anyway. Even if you do need the extra air, I would try and adapt an LT1 or LS1 MAF before wsing a Granetalli. Heck, I'd go speed density before Granatelli.
