Fuel pump problems ?

I've been having issues with this car for some time now. I think that this time the fuel pump is failing, not absolutely sure though. From a dead stop when I floor it, the car stumbles and misses. Now just recently I don't have to floor it any more, when I ease into the gas during regular driving it stumbles and acts like it wants to die. I have to feather the throttle to keep it running. It feels like the fuel is trying to catch back up with the engine. I checked the fuel pressure at schrader valve and it showed 30 psi and it dropped to 26-28 psi when throttle was applied. I understand that the pressure should be approx. 42 psi or so. Could my problem be a failing fuel pump or something else ? I have replace the MAF power and MAF burnoff relays with original ACDelco.

Please Help!

Fuel Problems: (Fuel Pump or Filter)

Hey there man. I would replace the inline fuel filter and recheck the pressure on the fuel rail. I recently had a simiular problem but this was only part of my problem. I ended up going through several things. I replaced the filter, injectors, checked voltage on each injector, and added gasoline additives to clean up the fuel system. My car has only about 40,000 original miles on it and it had been sitting up for some time. I now get about 50-55 PSI on the fuel rail consistently.

My other problem ended up being the pick-up coil and distributor that needed to be replaced. The car runs fine now!
