hey guys i have just bought a 350 tbi with a casting number 14093638
and the heads are 14102193. i need to know the head cc's (64 or 72??) and the factory rated compression ratio.also the factory power output would be nice

B.)The factory compression ratio is 9.3:1
C.)Factory HP/TQ ratings are 180-215HP/300-320 ft/lbs depending on application and year.

Almost anything is better than those 193 "swirlies", except maybe for 70s smogger junk.
The 217s IIRC are very similar to 083s. They are not swirl-port, and therefore are MUCH better than the 193s, for a performance application. So yes, they would be a significant improvement.

I've never heard of 217 heads... (no shocker).... What did they come stock on?

One of the service replacement motors in the late 80s and early 90s. I believe they were also available over the counter by themselves but I could be wrong about that.
