Braided lines from factory pickup

I have a "hookup" on braided lines and would like to run braided lines for my fuel system right from the pickup all the way to the fuel rails. I was wondering how I could modify the pickup to accept stainless lines. I would like the ability to unscrew the lines right at the pickup since I did the pump replacement door when I changed my pump, and would still like to have the ability to get right at it. I think I need to cut the lines right after the 90 degree bend, then flare the hard line, install a male-male fitting, run the line to the fuel filter, get a filter that accepts AN lines or buy two male-male adapters to go into and out of the stock fuel filter, then run the lines to the fuel rail and get the Saginaw-AN adapter for stock fuel rails. The return line would just be a straight shot from the fuel rail to the pickup location, with another flared hard line and male-male adapter. Here are my questions:

- Does my setup sound correct?
- What size line should I run? (I would rather have too much than not enough, I already have a 255LPH pump and plan to build a motor soon...so I would say have enough fuel to supply up to 500hp if I ever wanted to run a shot of nitrous)
- What is the tool I should buy to flare the hard lines at the pickup?
- What do you recommend I do with the two other lines that go out of the pickup? (I believe a vent and a line to the charcoal canister)
- Is this a difficult task or should it be pretty straight-forward if I get all the parts together beforehand?

Thanks a lot ahead of time...
