The HEI equivelant of a external coils +/- terminals
Lets try this...
Lets say we have a HEI coil in cap and trying to rig up something that has a wiring diagram that shows to connect to the +/- terminals on a external coil.
So what is (if their is) the equivalevnt to the +/- terminals on a external coil on a coil in cap hei?

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Look at the 3-wire connector that goes into the cap right behind the batt and tach wires.
red = + , brown = - , black = gnd
84 is correct, the tach lead also goes on the - terminal.
