best cam for stock intake

i am sending my stock heads out to be redone - what would the best cam i could use with a stock intake, flowtech headers & all the bolt on stuff. I know i will be needing to change my spring but should i also change my rockers to 1.6's?

cams are a science. cough up more info here, and you'll get better info.

head casting number
induction? (carb, fi?)
what year is the motor?
flat tappet or roller cam?

might as well get the right cam, then just get 1.5 roller tip rockers.

redone? be specific, what's being done? going to do any porting?

I will be using my maf tpi setup on a 1988 350 and i want to stay with a roller cam - as for the heads i was going to get the "bowl cut" and a 3 angle valve job - the machine shop said that match porting my heads with a stock tpi set up is a waste of money because of how bad the castings are in the plenum, runners & intake???

If you plan on staying with tpi I would get a comp xr264hr or a comp xr269hr. Make sure the machine shop prepares the heads for screw in studs and machines the spring pockets for the valve springs comp recomends.
