What should I do with this 350 TBI?

I've got a pretty good chance of getting my neighbors 350 from his truck w/ only 22,000mi. If I get this what all should I do to the engine while it is not installed? I do plan on keeping my current hooker cat back exhaust system, but that's about all I want to hang on to. Thanks!

Only 22k? What year is it?

If '95-earlier, keep the TBI, run it with your re-tuned PROM et al. Headers & 3" cat would be very helpful. You could improve on the cam.

Check out the tech articles and TBI board if you want to keep the TBI. Theirs a few little tricks you can do to help ya out for cheap.

But if you plan on doing some major work your going to need to do some PROM tuning...

Yea I was going to try and do everything from this site: TBI CHIPS CAR MODS

(even though it's a 305 site most those mods are still legit.....unless i'm way off)

350 TBIs are oft discussed on the TGO TBI forum.

Yea heads and a new cam would be something to do for sure when it's out of the car. I just have to price all this out. What are some good heads and cam that would work with this. (I need to get the numbers off the engine so i know exactly what it is, so finding parts will be eaiser.)
