quick torqe question

I am to the stage in my motor rebuild where i gotta torque down the oil pump. I screwed this part up last time and it cost alot of money and time, so i thought i would ask yall a few things before i proceeded.

1. What is the torque on the single bolt that holds the oil pump to the main cap that it bolts to? I am confused about what my book says and dont wanna get it wrong.

2. Are there any gaskets on the oil pump? I dont think so but i thought id make sure.

thanks in advance for your reply.

I think they recommend using oil on the threads, or ARP bolt lube.

If yours managed to work loose, perhaps red loctite would be wise?

also make sure your pickup isn't coming off.

i use loctite on the bolt and an impact or wrench to tighten the bolt
