i ordered the 255 lph edelbrock pump off summit, and the pump they sent me will NOT fit the white filter. the inlet on the pump is TOO big for the filter. i checked the number on the pump, it says GSS 242 i checked this online and it was a 190 lph pump is this correct??? why in gods name would they put this pump in my box when the box says on it '17933 fuel pump 255 lph in tank' ....... im very confused also FRUSTRATED b/c i need to get this done and i have no idea what to do. anyway, thanks if anyone can help me confirm that they did put the wrong pump in there

Call up Summit, and have them pull another pump, same part number as the one you ordered. Have them open the box and confirm the number on the pump. If the number they give you is the same as the one on your pump, you most likely have the right pump. Also, tell them what you told us, about the 190lph pump. See what they say. Parts can be packaged in the wrong box. If happens in the parts industry. Working at NAPA, I've had to replace products before because of a mis-boxed part. It does happen. If it is the wrong part, they'll replace it. If it's the right part, you'll have to get a new sock filter, which your local parts store will usually have on the shelf.
