Holley Stealth Ram

Ok once again this is for my 3rd gen friend since he lacks the net. He has to replace the plenum and base plate on his 350 TPI iroc because they are not working. He wants to go the route of the Holley Stealth Ram from thunderracing but is unsure whether or not to get the normal one or the one for vortec heads. He has a good amount of $$$ to work with since he just got back from Iraq but I dont know what he would need to run the vortec one as oppossed to the normal Stealth Ram or how much and how many more parts he would need. Also what is the difference in power if he stuck with the normal Stealth Ram and heads rather then the Vortec Stealth Ram & vortec heads kit. He intends to buy it today because his car is not running and he needs this replaced.

Thanks

But basically what sofakingdom said. I don't know how much more the vortec one is compared to the regular manifold but vortec heads flow great out of the box and if its near the same price I'd go vortec (and, of course, you would need new vortec heads).

yes, not getting a response in the two hours you waited, how inconsiderate of us all. Someone should get fired! Or at least docked pay for their shoddy work.

Car: a car being parted out
Engine: blown up
Transmission: in peices
well two things...

1. the votec one will not work on reg heads, and vice versa, so he needs to decide if he is gonna replace heads what type he is getting.

2. You will need a new chip to get decent power out of it. No, not some off the shelf thing, and REAL chip that you actually have to burn thyself.

Will the car run? sure. But it runs rich as hell. Trust me I know this first hand. I am ordering my ALDL and interface monday so I can start burning real chips next week.

I managed to go through about half a tank in 75 miles, if that many actually.
