What sensors are what??
Ok due to recent problems i have been having i would like to get things set straight. What sensors are waht. I know the sensor next to the thermostat is the coolant temp sensor, I think the sensor on the passenger side of the engine at the very bottom is the knock sensor. What i need to know is what are the sensors on either side of the driver and passenger side of the engine located on the heads

It's an 89 RS that had a 305 TBI but I put a 350 in and kept the TBI? Now can you help me??
TBI should have a MAP sensor mounted to the firewall, a CTS at the front coolant crossover on the intake, A detonation sensor just abouve the RH oil pan mounting rail (block drain), a temperature sending unit in the LH head, and an IAT sensor in the air cleaner housing. The oil pressure sender may be in the LR corner of the case above the oil filter boss, or in the rear intake flange wall depending upon how the retrofit was done.

So on the driver head there is a temperature sending unit and on the passenger head there is a fan switch? And next to ther thermostat there is a CTS. So if i were to put on an aftermarket sensor to triggure the fan at a lower temp, i would replace the sensor on the passenger head, Correct?

That is the impression that I have been under. I'm planning on getting that switch from jegs, and I was going replace the sensor on the passenger side, right by the plugs.
