Car died and acts like it's not getting any fuel
It is an 85 TA with a 90 model L03 (305 TBI) in it.
I just got the thing running.. It's been sitting for over a year. Many problems with cosmetics on it (ground effects, no door handles etc..). It got a tune-up and I also noticed that the MAP senser vacuum line was broken causing a very rough startup idle then the check engine light would come on and it would run kind of weak. I replaced the broken hard plastic hose/tube with a softer rubber windsheid wiper hose, and the check engine light went away and the car seemed to run fine.
I finally got around to getting some parts and decided to start driving it.
It had a half a tank of gas in it, I got it driving and immediately began driving it. After about a day the check engine light came on. I did the paperclip trick to get the check engine light to flash out code 32 (barometric pressure senser). I will get the proper harder plastic hose. To try and resolve that.
After driving it for two days, the car acts like it ran out of gas (still had 3 quarters of a tank. It now will start and idle very roughly and will sometimes die. I can prime it and it run's great for about 15 seconds and then goes back to running very rough. With my foot to the floor I can drive it at about two miles an hour, but I smell so much gas that it burns my eyes. I thought maybe it was bad gas for sitting for so long so I filled the tank back up again hoping to dillute the tank with fresh gas. I don't know that, this is the problem because I drove it for two days no problem and I figured if it was bad gas I would have immediate problems.
What do you guys think? Clogged injectors? Fuel pump? What else can I check?

I am having the exact same problem with my 1992 Firebird. It has a 3.1 V6, and a full tank of gas. I have 41 pounds of fuel pressure, but the car still won't stay running. When you find out what is wrong, please let me know so I can try to fix my car!! Thank you! Bigt/a

Thanks, they said the specs for the fuel pressure was 42, I don't know if it would be the same for your car, but I am assuming so. I have been dealing with this problem for quite some time now, and i am ready to get it resolved so i can start driving it more. If I figure anything out, I will try to let you know, hopefully we can help each other. thanks again, Bigt/a

I had the same Problem in my 1990 'Bird 3.1 V6. It turned out to be the fuel Injectors...i dunno if you have the same problem, but It'd be worth checking out.

Problem Solved
I pulled the tank out of the car and got to the fuel pump. There was two inch peice of rubber hose that comes right off of the pump (still in the tank) and connects it to the fuel lines. This rubber hose had a big crack in it, so I suppose it was just pushing gas back into the tank through that hose and not being able to build up enough pressure. I bought a new sock for the pump, new little hose (the correct hose for running fuel through), and hooked it all back up and it's running again!
I messed up my exhaust pulling the tank though.. I got lazy and instead of fulling removing the cat-back, I let it hang, and crushed the tubing. Doh!!
So now I need a cat-back for the car.
