TBI same fuel sending unit as TPI?

I was just wondering. Im about to put a FAST fuelinjected motor in my 92 bird and was wondering if the TBI fuel sending unit is the same thing with just a different pump in it. Or am i going to have to find a TPI sending unit and put my walboro 255 in that. So pretty much what im asking will my walboro 255 pump work in my TBI sending unit?

thanks for the help.

I would think it will just be a fuel pump swap..the only thing that would be of concern is if you get a camaro sending unit will the fuel gauge still work? could be a on a different resistance setting..might not be accurate.I have a guy at work who just replaced one in his firebird and got the unit from a junkyard.I will ask him if he got them from a camaro ..unless someone as already done the deed???..

The fuel sending unit has only to do with the fuel level guage. jstrdn90rs is correct.
