Just needed to vent some frustrations

Man,I'm so damn tired of waiting to drive my car its crazy.We're breaking down the intake for the 3rd time chaseing down a vacume leak.Car was missing at an idle,Dead miss.Keep in mind everything besides the TPI is brand new.Thought we had a valve to tight.Redid all of em,not it.Checked the plugs,thought it might be an injector.Found vacume leak in plenum to runner gasket and runner to manifold on drivers side.THOUGHT WE FIXED IT.Nope.Broke it down again,it seems that where the gasket goes between the runners and plenum/manifold is warped slightly.We're going to put silicone as well as gasket sealent on and around it and i'm looking for another runner but they're slim pickings round here and i rreally dont want to wait for onr to be shipped.I've been wiyhout my car for 9 freaken months tearing down and buying parts.We tried to smooth the gasket surface down a liitle but its still not completly straghit : Anybody had this problem before or any suggestions?The worst part is its costing me money each time these guys work on it.They are great mechanics,have worked on all my cars and been building hot rods since before i was born so i dont really blame them but the hourly rate is killing me.Imean i'm paying damn good money for someone to do something right and fast and i still dont have my car to drive. Anyway thanks for leting me rant and if anyone has any suggestions feel free to chime in thanks again guys

I'm chasing a starting issue. Have not cranked my new engine yet either. Nothing from the starter. VATS maybe?? I swapped from a 305 TBI to a modified 350 TPI (ECM 7730). I had everything ready to go and first had a massive fuel injector leak, fixed that. Tried to crank and nothing! Still working on getting it started.

i pulled the 350 i built at the beginning of this year 7 TIMES!!! before i decided the block was trashed from a water jacket breaking behind a sleeve i had installed...then an all-nighter/all-dayer (is that a word?) later i had a 305 back in the car...so i totally know what your going through, chasing down problems to no avail...it sucks. anyhow, good luck to you brother and i hope you get it all squared around.
