How to replace Belt Tensioner
1992 Camaro Z28 with L98 5.7L 350 -
Shops wants $70cdn for Belt Tensioner, and like $110cdn for labour ($180cdn total) just to purchase and Replace my belt tensioner..
Can I do this myself? How hard is it to do? Anyone have step by step instructions? Thanks VERY Much!!

I replaced mine three weeks ago. Order a new tensioner from your local auto parts store (mine was about $34.00). It is only one bolt, mine was a torque tip fastener. Remove the bolt and pull off the old tensioner. Put on the new one and tigten it back up. Takes about 5 minutes.

screw the 110canadian$, trust me u'll figure out,
just stare at the tensioner assembly for 5minutes you'll be able to
figure out.
bolt out, belt out, bolt in, belt in.
