Whats the diffrence?
Im putting a pro-flo on my 305, yes i know alot of you say its not worth it but my mind is set on building this underestimated engine. anyways on the edelbrock proflo performer RPM can come for a chevy small block 86 and earlier or one for vortec style heads. I want to put some new heads on anyways, but which one do I need and is there a way to change that. Im leaning towards the regular one for chevy small block that way later I could switch it to a 350 or better later down the road. by the way I have a 92 RS with 305 used to be TBI now carb. I need to know which setup I need and if there was a way to get regular style bolt heads and use the non-vortec setup that would be sweet. But if not I can make do.Thanks.

you're wasting you're time, but whatever, its not my money or car.
in anycase, the 86 and earlier intake fits the later style heads if you elongate the holes for the center two holes on each side. the bolts wont fit flat in the center.. you can buy wedge shaped adapters, or you can just run a couple washers....
the vortec intake is for the vortec heads.. the ports are slightly diffrent, and the bolt holes dont match.

I've built a 305 before, biggest waste of money ever. Why not just bottlefeed a stock 305 TBI? Cheaper and you'll go faster. Thread
