manual steering a power steering car bad?

Car: 1987 GTA/1998 Explorer
Engine: 355, trick flow heads, zz409 cam, 3
Transmission: 700r4, shift kit, valve body
Axle/Gears: precision 3.73's, auburn diff
manual steering a power steering car bad?
i had to pull my car about 3 miles with a truck, fuel pump died on me. when i got home my power steering pump was leaking pretty bad. is it possible i damaged it by manually steering it like that?

Car: 2004 Wrangler Rubicon
Engine: 4.0
Transmission: NV3550
Axle/Gears: Dana 44s with 4.10 and air lockers
When you turn the wheel with the engine off power steering fluid is forced out. Happens all the time when we push cars in and out of the shop at work. Clean it all off, refill it, and drive it. If it's leaking then fix the leak. If it isn't, then you have some nice clean power steering fluid in there now.
