i have a problem thats not thirdgen related, but i hope you guys can help me out anyway
i recently rebuilt a 2.8 on my 86 blazer, TBI
everything is connected correctly and it is still not starting, im getting fuel, spark, and good compression but my injectors are not spraying, i had them tested and they are fine.
my fuel pump was not preloading when i turned the key so i wired it to a switch to bypass the relay, checked my fuel pressure and its to specs.
i realized im not getting a check engine light when i turn my key so im thinking its a bad ecm, which would explain why it wasnt preloading and why my injectors arent working.
is there anything else i should check before i go out and get a new ecm?

Make sure all your grounds are secure..like the ones from the engine block to the chassis. If those check out okay..then you could check power to and from the ECM and if those are good then replace it.

[quote=fearfactory17]all my grounds are good, i heard something about if theres not enough oil pressure, fuel would be cut off?
Yeah..thats correct ..but correct if I am wrong but its like 4 LBS of pressure to trip the sending unit for fuel pressure. So if it has at least that ...unless the sending unit itself is bad?But even then ..ECM should still pulse the injectors I dont think it cares how much fuel pressure it has I think it should still turn the 2 second prime on when you turn the key.I think you have a bad ECM
