327 vs 350 question

327 vs 350 question

ok i recently got a 1990 rs camaro i have a L98 350 stock motor that i could use in the car or i have a 327 shortblock bored 60 over,comp cam 280h,true roller timing set,arp bolts throught.so i have a delemma as to what motor to use.i could use the 327 and bolt on the L98 heads and then go w/a performer rpm intake,650 dp carb at least thats what im concidering which would be a better choice?what kind of hp would i be seeing in the 350 with aboved mentioned parts vs the 327 the heads are iron.thanks,steve

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt, true-trac, 3.73
the L98 is a roller block, so you can easily and **cheaply** use a roller cam. Theres a giant power boost right there, plus no hassles of flat tappet cam breakage.
The .060" over motor is a little dicey too, that's a lot of meat to remove... Might make it too thin, and in the future you have nothing left to cut out again.

I'd also stay with the L98 block.

I also agree. Stay with the L98 350. The 327 bored .60 over not only can you not bore it anymore any 327 or 350 I have been around that was bored .60 over had overheating problems. Not saying they all do but I have seen it.
