once the wires are off the dimmer and ignition switches both lift off the top of the column. There are two rods, one for the dimmer, one for the ignition switch. There's a little adjustment on either and it will test your patience but if you sit back and study it for a sec it's easy to see how they both work.
....
anyone recognize these ignition switch parts ??
Putfile <--link to picture of extra parts
After i installed it.. these were left over..(someone else took apart the car) really regret that.. didnt have much of a say though...
What does the cable that screws into the back of the ignition switch (the one which connects to the button on the shifter.. whats that do ?? wats it connect to.. anything? besides the 2 small screws on the ignition switch itself?
dimmer switch has 3 holes in it for screws... i'ds asume..
i can definitly see the front one being used.. but then the second might be tough to get in there.. it looks like a wierd angle.. and the 3rd .. is a CRAZY angle flange.. what does that connect to ?
however i do know which plugs go to which on the dimmer switch and the ignition switch...
just wondering now where the dimmer switch is connected to besides the plug...? (just the first screw hole on the steering column.. or both holes on the steering column ??
