what is this engine?
alright guys heres the deal
i need a motor for my 88 Z. My 350 is beating the crap out of itself, I figure its a main bearing knock. I replaced all bearings in the lower end, it ran beautifully for 45 minutes, then began knocking again. The crank is shot.
so, i found a small block that i believe will drop right into my Z, but i want to know for sure. I found the numbers on the block, but none of them make sense.
here:
V0209FRH -> I can't figure out what the FRH suffix code is. Its not listed anywhere.
The partial vin code is:
C5F147411.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
