Run then no Run.....

Hello,
I just put in my new ZZ383 engine. I got the car running then I shut if off to fix a small gas leak. When I went to start it back up it would not start. I have fuel that is fer sure.

I worked on it for a few hours and If I let it sit a bit (Because it would flood) it would start and run fine. I gave up and took my Demon carb off and put on my Edlebrock. I got the car started and running good. I shut it off then went to restart it and again it would not start?.

If I get it running good and shut it off it will not restart. If I keep trying it will backfire out the exhaust or the carb then the next try it will fire.

I am using a 6AL with a CraneCam 1000-1501 Distributor with a crane coil. Using the Green/Violet wires.

Anyhelp here would be great!

I did find the issue...... It was when I had the engine out I cleaned up all the wiring and I ran the Green/Violet wires together with all the bulkhead wiring. That was making the pickup wiring trigger at different times making it miss fire and not start. Went out this morning separated the wiring and all is good!
