code 32, i know its old news but

this code is driving nuts. i read the tech article. i tested the valve, and the selinod and still. valve tested good with a hand held vaccum pump, it holds vaccum and valve moves the way its supposed to. so it appears the valve is functioning the way its supposed to. i also tested the vaccum selinod. ran engine up to temperature and reved it up with my finger over the vaccum line that goes to the valve. i feel vaccum im sure of that.i also pulled a known working map sensor off of my s10 blazer light still comes on.i also checked the passages in the manifold, they appear to be clear. i wish i could fix this stupid thing.
P.S. this light comes on when it in the mood. its infrequent but i do get the code. i cant seem to fix the problem, and i have used all of my knowledge so far. i wish i had a real failure to go on. a bad selinod or a bad valve that would be easy to fix. should i just replace the EGR valve? i dont want to randomly throw parts at this becuase thats not the way a good mechanic should fix things

Does the SES light come on more when you're cruising along at 55 MPH or faster for more than 5 minutes? If so you're the victim of the code 32 mystery.

Did you recently change out your exhaust to a higher flowing muffler, catalytic converter, or an entire cat-back system? A lot of members have gotten code 32 after any one of those changes.

Try resetting the ECM by removing the negative battery cable for a few minutes. I did and never got a code 32 again.

you are correct the light only comes on after going 55+ for several minutes. i cleared the code off once. it comes on about once a month, not enough to reflect a consistant problem. when i does come on i irratates me becuase it so infrequent it that its impossible to diagnose it. car has a high flowing exhuast, lol. it has a 2-1/4" exhuast with a small leak. pipe going from the cat to the muffler has a crack in it. i need a new cat back in the spring. this car also has other bad behavior. about once a month or so i decides that it wants to misfire. tach will be all over the place and car will buck. the last time it was so bad that it backfired really bad 2 times. you should see my muffler from this last time it happened. it looks like it almost exploded, it almost took the seam out. i cant understand this problem either. the two problems seem to be unrealated. the check engine light is not on when it happens and it is so infrequent that its impossible to diagnose it. i wish this car would run the way its supposed to 100% of the time. its impossible to repair something that happens once a month. its like my car gets on the "rag", lol.
