Fan only turns on with A/C...?
Well Subject says it all, My 89 Camaro 5.0L TBI electric fan will only turn on with A/C. So is there anyway to find out why it isnt turning on with Engine reaching Red Mark on Temp Gauge?

May I suggest a seperate fan controller? I've had the same problem in my 1990 TBI motor, and I've been through 3 fan switches, and one was a fancy high dollar ($85) job, and even it went out after 2000 miles.
I gave up, and went with a seperate fan controller, they range from $40 to over $250, depending on what you get - I spent $90 on a nice one from Flex-A-Lite - on at 220, off at 160, adjustable, and variable speed, with ability to add always on or always off switch. A probe inserts between the radiator fins, wiring was easy, and it ALWAYS works the right way. I'll never return to those in-the-head switches again!
You can just leave the dead fan switch in the head as a plug, install the seperate controller, and be done - no more coolant in your face to change that factory crap.
