383 Buildup and more

Hey guys, I wasnt quite sure where to post this, so I decided to do it here in the general forum. I have an '86 Camaro, which I am hoping to build up into a pretty good streetable-drag car. My plan is for a 383 stroker, which I am hoping to acheive anywhere from 400-450HP. I plan to redo the whole car over in the following categories

Suspension [including SFC and LCA's]
Tranny: Probably get a heavy duty-built 700R4 with a shift kit
I may add a roll cage for chassis stiffening

I was looking for suggestions on parts and mods. Are fiberglass parts [fenders/hood] worth it in weight savings? What about an aluminum driveshaft?
What mods should I start with first? I was going to save the engine for last. The car isint going on the road until everything is done anyhow.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this car a 12-ish second car [mid-high 12's?.. or even high 12's] Is it even possible with a 383? or is it possible to do while still containing street manners. Thanks for your help

Yes. That's all possible, and not even that difficult. You're on the right track.
I'd look at spohn products for your suspension. Start building the motor now, do your homework, and don't mismatch parts.
