code 42, whats going on?
Fault at electronic spark timing circuit OR Fault at direct ignition system OR Fault at fuel cutoff relay circuit
So the motor was just rebuilt with parts in sig, had it out of the shop to break the motor in, was driving around just fine, and all of a sudden it stalled, wouldnt fire back up again, after 10 minutes it started up again but for like 10 seconds then cut out.
This is a fuel issue, you can definitly tell the motor isnt getting fuel
what does this code even mean?

Did you check the car for spark or fuel when it died?..I think you might have a bad ICM(ignition control module) after 10 minutes it cooled down enough to restart(classic signs). If that checks out then you either have a wiring problem in the ICM circuit or you may have a bad ECM..start with the easy stuff first though.Thats the path you will take...

So the motor is getting spark, and pressure to the fuel rail, but the injectors arent pulsing
Just had a temporary chip burned for the break in, before they run it on the dyno and dial it in. Brand new motor.
What in the electrical system could cause that and throw that code?
Car ran greta for the first like 2 hours
