question on ac
question on ac
was wondering if anybody could tell me exactly where the high and low service ports are for the ac on a 92 camaro. it has a 305 if that helps. i have looked everywhere but can only seem to find one port. thanks
Low side port will be on the receiver/dryer (cylindrical aluminum tank next to firewall on passenger side). Your high side will be inline and have a different size port. you can do everything through the low side port if you have the right equipment.

Yep, the low side port has the standard R12 fitting. It is pointing out the side of the accumulator toward the engine.
The high side port is on the line going to the evaporator. It is upright and located in the hard line next to the accumulator, toward the fender.
To put a gauge on it will need to use an adaptor for a 'posi-seal' port. I've also heard of it being called a deep well port. Basically the adaptor has a protrusion on it to reach down into the port. This type of high side port was used on '91-'93 GM cars.
