Coil connector question

On my '89 Rs, it has the remote coil setup. There is a connector with a pink and white wire that connect the distributor to the remote coil. The two wires are barely long enough to make the connection but its tight. It is streched accross the cap down to the distributor connection. My question is can this cause interference of any sort? Like, pick up signals through the dist. cap prongs or plug wires?

My tach has a jump to it but only at certain rpm range, and engine has a slight stutter when the tach is jumping. Can this be a bad coil? When in the high rpms (3000 and up) there are no problems though. Only around 2000-2500 range.

When is this hapening when hot or cold or all the time. If it was getting interference it would happen all the time. When I had a spark plug arching against my intake it would cause my radar detector go off. Summit (catalog) offerers an adapter to hook up between your tps and wiring to help reduce hessitation above 2-3000 rpms. Could be a timing problem. You could also take your vehicle to auto zone or checkers or almost any other auto parts store and they should be able to test your coil to see if it is bad.
