Combination Comments

Its that time again, the old 355 in the Camaro is getting tierd. I have been putting together a game plan for this winters build and am just looking for a little input on what I have come up with.

Heres is what im planning:
383 Eagle forged rotating assem.
Keep the vortecs(206cc)
Compression is at 10.4:1
Comp XE294H
Keep the crane 1.6 Rollers
Holley Stealth Ram
58mm throttle body
30lb injectors
And a good tune

So what do you guys think? Any reccomendations good or bad are welcome. Its gonna be a learning curve for me as I am going to be takling the tuning on my own. Gonna be a chore at first. Thanks for the input guys

how'd you get 206cc vortecs?

someone had a link here recently all about vortecs. Very good info. The guy who worked at GM, and helped design the vortec cylinder heads posted on that forum (well, if you believe that I guess..)

Anyway, they usually show stall in the .500-.550" lift range. A cam with lower than that lift, but more duration might be worthwhile. I might recommend a crane cam with ~.490" lift, but the same large duration....Then again, 294?? That's a BIG cam, you sure you want that much duration? (street motor?)

I got the vortecs from Jegs.com, they are these JEGS High Performance - GM Performance Parts Cast Iron Large Port Vortec SBC Heads

Not to worried about the duration, only street time it will see is on the way to the track on the weeknds.
