problems with holley afpr
I heard so many good things about these pieces and bought one when I installed the new 350. Worked fine at first, not hard to adjust the dial. I set it to about 48psi. My engine felt real 'boggy' and kind of sluggish. So about 3-4 weeks after setting it to 48 psi I went to bump it back down to more stock setting to see if it would improve performance.
I rubbed skin of my thumb trying to get the stupid dial to move. I was able to get it down but with a small turn of the weel it dropped to like 30 psi. After much work I was able to barely get it to 36 psi with the engine running and vac line removed.
So now I'm running too lean and cant get any more adjustment out of the dial. I just want to go back to a stock fpr but they run like $188 from the dealer. Found a GP sorenson piece for $30, but I'm kind of scared to try it if it turns out to be junk. Maybe I'll just call summit and have them send me a new Holley afpr.
