so i have had fuel gauge issues from day one i already knew what it was (sending unit) at least im pretty sure that is it.... but i have called around and no one can get just the sending unit, they dont have any record of the damn thing......they say a junk yard or dealer would be my options probably..........seriously?!?! doesn't a new unit come with a new fuel pump....? or no?!

 

well this is awesome..........scratch that thought! i did some more looking and napa has the sending unit......189.99!!!! holy crap!! i think maybe the junk yard sounds like a better idea now!! i have an 87 iroc and my 90 rs that BOTH the damn fuel gauges have never worked in as long as we have had them.....is this a common problem? maybe its not the unit.....?? dunno at this point.

 

It wouldn't be too hard to check with an ohmmeter to make sure the problem isn't with the gauge(s).

 

yeah going to check that i was under the impression the other day when i talked to the previous owner that that had already been done but now that i talked to him again it doesnt really sound like it had...............not the brightest.......anyway will do that over the weekend and hopefully its just that.
