manually turnin over engine//
hey guys my engine is on its stand.. now i need to install my fuel pump.. but the push rod is in its ways... wats an easy way to turn over the motor with out the starter?

put a socket with a breaker bar on the main pulley and turn it

85, I used (3) bolts in the balancer then used the lug wrench the car came with to turn it over. If you want to do fast, multiple spins than this isn't the way for you.

This isn't a highly suggested way to go about this. You run too much of a risk of stripping that bolt in the crank snout. Ask me, I already had this happen to me before.
I would suggest looking in summit racings tool section. They have a tool for turning the crank with and without the balancer. I have always had luck turning the balancer or flexplate by hand if the plugs are out. Kinda hard to do when engine if fully assembled.

When installing the pushrod, some wheel bearing grease or vaseline around it to hold it in place should keep it out of the way when installing the pump no matter where the cam lobe is.
