What size/kind injectors do I need for my 92 5L 5-speed

One of my injectors crapped out, I want to replace them all.

Can anyone help me figure out what kind of injectors I need to buy? I have a 5L TPI 5-speed with SLP RUNNERS and ported plenum, fairly stock other than that.

I'd stick with stock unless you plan on doing a custom chip.

All 305 TPI motors used 19 lb. injectors (350s used 22 lb.)

SVO, Accell, GM, etc., etc. No shortage of people to supply fuel injectors for these vintage motors.

So I should stick with 19lb injectors?

What would happen if I put 22lb injectors on my 5L motor? Would that work, or would it create problems?

Another question is, do I have to stick with ones made for the 305 TPI motors, or can I buy a set of mustang 19lb injectors on ebay and put them on my motor?

Thanks for your reply.

Without a change in chip tuning it might cause problems. The computer knows what size injectors are SUPPOSED to be installed in the engine and acts accordingly. If suddenly the injectors flow 20% more than it thinks they should be, you'll run fat. And the O2 sensor can't save you from that under all conditions. That's why you're supposed to have a custom chip burned when you start making changes from stock- and the further you go from stock the more you need that custom chip to run it right.

If you want a little more flow from the injectors over stock you should consider an adjustable fuel pressure regulator instead. Lots easier to make SMALL changes in fueling by moving your fuel pressure up or down a few pounds than to do a blanket 20% change in injector flow.

Stock 5.0 Mustang injectors will bolt in and work fine.
