Starting Problem, Ideas or feedback?
I have an 87 GTA, all stock minus a CAI and Cat Back. It will start up strong, run for 5 seconds or so then sputter out.
I've looked around the forums and it sounds like either the fuel pump, oil pressure sensor, or some relay. I have noticed that immediately after the car dies, you can hear the fuel pump running quite loud for a good 10 to 15 seconds (at least I'm assuming thats it...it's a high whine coming from the fuel tank). I usually hear a mild whine when the fuel pump "primed" the fuel lines in the start position, but never this sound. Any input would be appreciated. As always, thanks for any and all your help!
